1. Introduction
Welcome to Plexilent.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Plexilent mobile applications, websites, cloud services, gateways, dashboards, APIs, software, hardware integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
The Services are owned and operated by Plexilent Private Limited (“Plexilent”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By accessing, downloading, registering for, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.
If you are using the Services on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.
3. User Account
Certain features of the Services require registration of a user account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.
- Notify Plexilent immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activities conducted through your account.
Plexilent reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate information or violate these Terms.
4. Use of Services
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You shall not:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or network.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by law.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Services.
- Upload or transmit malicious software, viruses, malware, or harmful code.
- Use the Services in a manner that may damage, disable, or impair Plexilent infrastructure or third-party systems.
5. Smart Home and Automation Services
Plexilent provides software and cloud services for monitoring, configuration, control, and automation of compatible smart devices, including but not limited to:
- Lighting systems
- Switches
- Sensors
- Gateways
- Controllers
- Smart plugs
- Smart appliances
- Building automation equipment
You acknowledge that device operation may depend upon:
- Internet connectivity
- Local network availability
- Electrical power
- Third-party hardware
- Firmware compatibility
- Environmental conditions
- Cloud service availability
Plexilent does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of connected devices and shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by factors beyond its reasonable control.
6. Cloud Services
Certain features require cloud connectivity and online services.
These features may include:
- Remote access
- Device synchronization
- Account management
- Notifications
- Backup and restoration
- Device management
- Automation synchronization
Plexilent may modify, enhance, suspend, or discontinue cloud services or specific features at its discretion.
7. Software Updates
Plexilent may release software updates, bug fixes, security patches, firmware upgrades, and feature enhancements from time to time.
You agree that such updates may be installed automatically where supported.
Failure to install updates may affect functionality, security, or compatibility of the Services.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Services, including but not limited to:
- Software
- Source code
- Designs
- User interfaces
- Documentation
- Logos
- Trademarks
- Graphics
- Product names
- Service names
remain the exclusive property of Plexilent Private Limited and its licensors.
Nothing in these Terms grants ownership or intellectual property rights to users.
9. Feedback
Any suggestions, recommendations, feedback, comments, or ideas submitted to Plexilent regarding the Services may be used by Plexilent without restriction and without compensation to the user.
10. Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with or depend upon third-party platforms and services, including but not limited to:
- Google services
- Apple services
- Firebase
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- MQTT providers
- Voice assistant platforms
- Smart home ecosystems
Plexilent is not responsible for the availability, reliability, performance, or policies of third-party services.
Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
11. Service Availability
Plexilent cloud services, notifications, remote access features, backups, and synchronization functions are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis.
Plexilent does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of cloud-based features and may perform maintenance, upgrades, or service modifications from time to time.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Internet service disruptions
- Cloud provider outages
- Third-party service failures
- Hardware failures
- Circumstances beyond Plexilent’s reasonable control
12. Account Deletion and Termination
Users may request deletion of their Plexilent account at any time through the Plexilent application where available or by following the instructions available at:

Upon account deletion, access to Plexilent cloud services, synchronized configurations, remote access features, and associated account data may be permanently removed, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements.
Plexilent may suspend or terminate user access if:
- These Terms are violated.
- Fraudulent activity is detected.
- Security risks are identified.
- Required by law or regulatory authorities.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Services is governed by the Plexilent Privacy Policy available at:

By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Plexilent disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy
- Reliability
- Availability
- Security
- Compatibility
Plexilent does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plexilent shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Incidental damages
- Special damages
- Consequential damages
- Loss of profits
- Loss of revenue
- Loss of business opportunities
- Loss of goodwill
- Loss of data
- Device malfunction caused by third-party equipment
- Internet or network failures
- Power outages
- Unauthorized access to user devices
In no event shall Plexilent’s total liability exceed the amount paid by the user, if any, for the Services during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Plexilent, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, partners, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Services.
- Violation of these Terms.
- Violation of applicable laws.
- Infringement of any third-party rights.
17. Changes to the Services
Plexilent reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or replace any part of the Services at any time without prior notice.
Plexilent shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services.
18. Changes to These Terms
Plexilent may revise these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be published on the Plexilent website and/or application.
Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
20. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussions between the parties.
If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
22. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Plexilent Privacy Policy and any additional policies published by Plexilent, constitute the entire agreement between Plexilent and the user regarding the Services.
